    yum install cyrus-sasl-plain -y
  2. Open the default settings for SASL:
    nano /etc/sysconfig/saslauthd
  3. Update MECH to MECH="rimap -r"
  4. Update FLAGS to FLAGS = "-O your-imap.server.org"
  5. Run the following commands to enable sasl:
    systemctl enable saslauthd

    systemctl start saslauthd
  6. Add the following to Postfix /etc/postfix/main.cf
    smtpd_sasl_auth_enable = yes

    smtpd_sasl_path = smtpd

    smtpd_relay_restrictions = permit_mynetworks permit_sasl_authenticated defer_unauth_destination
